your bland point of view can become funktaculous!

I live on Facebook, I’m not sure if you’ve noticed that, but I do. Last week, or maybe it was a week before, I noticed a status update that tickled my cotton tail. Yes, I have one of those. Moving on. The status update read along the lines of: if you don’t like your circumstances change you perspective. Short story shorter, I liked it!  A lot. So true. It got me to thinking. It got me to start seeing more clearly the pot of M&Ms placed purposefully under my stained glass rainbow.

We set out today on little backyard adventure. We are living in an RV on my parents’ property. We are hoping to start being nomadic soon, but for now, this is where we live. We took my little digi-cam for a walk with the idea of taking photos of things that may not look all that appealing with a first glance. But after taking a different look at the same object, we see something different, something striking actually.

Let the photo sharing begin…

This one is a photo I took. You can focus on this tractor seat and become critical of the rust, or…

You can clearly see that this tractor is an antique that still works! It has heard the laughter of many kids as it pulls a trailer for hay rides, etc. This is not a rusty seat, this is an antique tractor.

It’s a tree, big whoop, right? We see trees all the time. But do we REALLY see trees?

Oh, to be a bug on that tree. Looking up to see every green leaf and the color blue.

Levi took a picture of his dried up water slide.

It’s not just a dried out water slide. It’s a small piece of what will become the future swimming pond.

Skipper took some pictures too.

But what is directly behind all of this?

It was a neat adventure to take our camera around and find the gem in what may seem like an ordinary or bland point of view.

Question:

What has been your point of view lately?
